Los Angeles, CA
I got to visit some friends for a long weekend, and had so much fun. It was my first time in California! Here was our weekend itinerary & my reviews. We went all over Los Angeles.
Day 1: Malibu & West Hollywood
Alfred’s Coffee: Yum! Stopped here after the plane, so that I could avoid the jet lag. I got an iced oatmilk latte, no complaints.
Urth Cafe: Very cute, quick lunch spot! Good healthy choice, and it was pretty busy.
Malibu Beach: My biggest impression of California was the landscape! How the mountains and the water meet is so beautiful. Malibu beach is a MUST.
Ralphs: For my east coasters, I would say this was a mix of a Publix and a Whole Foods. We stopped here for some snacks!
1 Hotel Rooftop: After a day exploring, we got more dressed up for this upscale cocktail lounge in West Hollywood. Beautiful rooftop view of Los Angeles!
Craig’s: This chicken parmesan was delicious, we got to sit on the back patio too. Great vibes for an upscale, Italian dinner.
Day 2: Venice Beach & Santa Monica
Runyon Canyon: This hike was no joke! I was out of breathe by the time we stopped at a midpoint. I got to get a close up view of the Hollywood sign though, and we saw a few snakes.
Erewhon: We stopped for a quick lunch after our hike. The food here all looked so delicious and fresh! I grabbed a chicken caesar wrap, 10/10. Next time, I want to try the sushi, and their iconic smoothies.
Rodeo Drive: We didn’t stop, but just drove through so that I could see it. Lots of iconic stores and it was beautiful to drive through.
Venice Whaler: This was a really cool indoor/outdoor bar at Venice Beach! It is definitely a popular spot - it got more crowded as the night started to come & we had a few influencer sitings!
Jameson’s Pub: Irish pub in Santa Monica we ended our night in. It was packed, but a fun time! Lots of TV’s for game day, too.
Day 3: Westlake Village
Mediterraneo Westlake: We got a yummy brunch here before spending the day in the West Lake area. The restaurant itself is on a cute lake, and it definitely feels like you are in Europe!
We spent the rest of the day in Westlake village on the water - it was beautiful and fun to spend some time in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
Overall, I had such a great time. The best part of Los Angeles was getting to visit some of my best friends and the beautiful landscape! There is also SO much to do here, so I guess I will have to return soon for more - and to other parts of California!
