Tampa, FL
We moved to Tampa during the summer of 2023, and spent 15 amazing months exploring the city. Here are some of my favs.
Breakfast
Oxford Exchange: Beautiful and delicious brunch spot - but make sure to make a reservation well ahead of time
American Social: $4 mimosas & on the water - can’t beat it
Pete’s Bagels: The best bagels I have found yet, their seasonal cream cheeses are amazing
Coffee
Caffeine Roasters: My #1 coffee shop I have tried thus far. They even have a drive through at their Kennedy Blvd location! Maybe an unpopular opinion, but it beats out buddy brew by a long shot…
Boulon Bakery: Delicious coffee and great vibe to sit and enjoy Water Street
Patrona Coastal Cafe: A bit further of a drive, but worth it! Cute spot on the water with coffee, acai, and more. If you plan to go into St. Pete for a beach day, this is a good spot to stop on the way in!
Drinks
M Bird: Great views over Tampa, and it is inside of Armature Works, which is a cool food haul to check out
Edition Hotel: Love the variety here - rooftop bar with amazing views, club, and downstairs bar - there is something for everybody
Meat Market: My favorite happy hour in Tampa, and it is within Hyde Park if you want to shop!
Dinner
Ulele: Unique and tasty food over the river - love their outdoor space
The Pearl: Had the best short rib here, another great spot on Water Street
Night Out
511 Franklin: 23+ cocktail bar, always a good time.. gets pretty crowded late night!
Soho Saloon: Sports bar with games and great dancing music. Can be good for game days, or late nights.
Splitsville: I am at the point where I need activities during a night out, this has good drinks and pool, bowling, darts, and more! Plus, it is located within Sparkman Wharf: Modern waterfront area with a biergarten and food options.
Activities
Beach: There are unlimited options within 45 minutes of Tampa - some that we have enjoyed are Indian Rocks and Treasure Island!
River Walk: Walking path along the river, I have had multiple dolphin sitings here! You can also rent kayaks or other water vessels to enjoy the river too.
Bayshore: Waterfront sidewalk that is a great place to get active. My Fiance and I like to walk along it and look up all the beautiful mansions on Zillow lol
Hyde Park Village: Cute shopping complex with higher-end retailers, restaurants & bars, plus a movie theater
